MLB biggest concern on defense

Secondary is certainly a problem, but the DBs had nothing to do with Tiki Barber skipping effortlessly through the D-line like he was on the Yellow Brick Road headed for Oz.

As I understand it, for the position we'll be drafting in (#3-#7 in the first round) defensive tackles are by far the better value. DB's are rated much lower in the first.

True but they did nothing once Tiki got to their level, the tackling from the secondary was god awful. Not just last night but all season.

There are problems all over the place on D. The only thing I'll say is that if we don't address the D-line, running backs will still be in the defensive secondary running free. Even if we get better tackling by the DBs, we still have a huge problem.

I AGREEE!!!! You have to start up front before gasing up Redskins One and picking up Nate Clemons. MLB and corner is a concern but get a tackle first. That's how you build a defense. But regarless of who we get it's going to take some time to rebuild the defense. It's a total mess.

That's another good point, I don't know what the hell Sean Taylor's problem is. He needs to learn how to take better angles and have someone put pads on him so he can start tackling again. He kinda got exposed some this season. Seems like if he can't lay you out, he can't get you down. He definitely needs to improve on both of those.

Doesn't it seem like the last few games in particular Taylor is tackling really high and always going for a strip rather than the sure tackle?? Perhaps the D as a whole was just pressing to get turnovers but man, the arm tackling has been outta control especially as of late.
