just because people boo doesn't mean someone is stupid, or any less of a fan. did you sit there and not critisize our team at all this year, that is what booing, letting you team know they are playing lousy. Now, booing brunell was a bit uncalled for, but hey we all pay $100's of dollars to go to the game to sit in the stands, fight traffic pay $7 bucks or so for a beer. if someone wants to boo, so be it. They pay those salaries, they dont really have a voice in any decision making processes at Redskin park, so that is the only way fans can be heard sometimes. Hey, I agree with one guy the D should have been booed the whole damn game! they suck@!

That's why I kind of started the thread. You really never know what you'll do until you're actually in the stands for yourself.

I find it interesting that most of the people their booing, if asked away from the stadium would you ever boo a pro-football player, they probably would say no, and how classless it is. You just never know, that's all.

I agree I have paid literally thousands this year to see the Redskins with the gas, taking off work, tickets, parking.... Its' not like sitting in your easy chair at home watching the game. And I did boo so u can call me classless! I didnt start booing but once it started I joined in... When I saw him run on the field it was like a bad replay... I do like him but I wasnt ready for the same old shit i saw for the last 2 years... 5 yard passes and dinks and dunks.... And I would have really wanted to see what Collins could do. So yes we pay their salaries. But it was more the booing symbolized the disappointment with this year. This team is loaded with talent how the hell did we finish with this record. But I did feel bad about booing him. But It's like everything else in Life either shit or get off the pot!!! And while your calling people classless dont forget 65,000+ ??? Fans came out on a holiday to see our Redskins play on for a game that meant nothing but pride and we were loud.

Interesting. I kinda of suspected that the booing was as much about the failed season, and how, in some weird way Brunell was symbolic of that. Again, not blaming him for the struggles, but I think people were booing him out of frustration about the organization as a whole.

I'm willing to bet that many of those same people, if they saw Mark Brunell at let's say, Starbucks, would be very cordial and what have you toward him. It's something about a guy jogging out onto to a football field fully dressed in a uniform with a helmet on, that allow people to distance themselves from the person and the athlete.
