I hear what you're saying, but Lloyd cost us a third and a fourth. So he and Archuleta are exactly the problem you're speaking of.

There are monumental problems that mark this front office in every aspect -- retention of current "core" players, woeful miscalculations of free agents, the forfeiture of draft picks for said free agents, and the tendency for lackluster selections from the draft picks they do have.

I wish it were just one small adjustment in their personnel philosophy, but it's on much more of a grand scale than that.
