So now what at Guard?

Well we have Leonard Davis coming in today but he would have to move to guard from his left tackle he likes. The Boys wanted him to move inside as well and it is reported he like a warm weather spot so you think Dallas will get that one with more cap space. The Cards may still be in the mixes because they like him to stay but not at a high price. But still he wouldn't have to move inside! There are some others but Kris Dieman is going to cost to much...still I can dream! Wish we had the money! Seattle looks to have him! What about Bills Mike Gandy 6-4 310? He is 27 and might be better then Davis? Another thing that may come in to play is the Redskis were not that high on the DE or DT in this years draft and trading down and getting Dockerys replacement might happen. I read on Fox that Patrick Kerny 6-5 273 29 years old might be someone the Skins might look hard at and then address the guard in the draft. Just some thoughts and things I have read!

Molinaro is probably better suited for the inside but I doubt he's really a starter, after that who knows, would love to draft one but we know that ain't happening.

We might not have any way but that. If so who would you draft and can we move down and get a guard and more picks?

Re: So now what at Guard?

What I just read Justin Blalock out of Texas may be the best of this years draft. The 6-3 320 guard has a mean streak. Others are Ben Grubbs 6-3 311 auburn,Arron Sears 6-3 319 Tenn, and Andy Alleman 6-4 305 Akron. But could these kids more right in to the starting line up?

We should go after Adam Timmerman until we find or groom someone to replace Dock.

AT is a vet, who has played on a championship team(rams). So, he knows how to win. We could get him cheap until we find a permanent replacement.

Our coaching staff isn't overly stellar in getting rookies ready to play, I think I remember Blaylock having a good combine probably would be a definate upgrade over Dock, the problem is we have no picks and are probably useing the #6 to draft a D-lineman. We just have to many holes and no way of filling them, as usual they have already started convicing themselves they will solve all our problems in free agency, and as usual we will winde up with a bunch of overpaid players we will be looking to upgrade next year, with you guessed it even less cap space.

What the heck are YOU doing REPLYING to me at 7:47?!

Seriously though, my fiancee had computer problems in our exercise room today and needed me to wake up so she could watch DVDs on the treadmill. She's coming down your way to David's Bridal to try on wedding dresses.

Re: So now what at Guard?

Because I never went to sleep, got drunk, laid and am now having the morning "victory coffee" while teaching my son the importance of taking a noisey crap in the morning.

And to see if we signed Smoot yet.

You are right that moving down from 6yh spot can get it done! I also read that the Redskins were not that high on the DE or DT in this draft on a 6th pick so moving down sound right!

I seen Jeff Bostic on Americas Game last night (87 Skins)... He looked pretty good... he could probably still man a position..

Unhappy Re: So now what at Guard?

Isn't it sad to have so many needs and so few draft picks? I will admit, though, that I hate the idea of starting a rookie at LG. But can we afford a competent FA replacement for Dock, who we couldn't afford to keep?
