I am of the camp that you pay the large bonuses to the superior DE's and shutdown corners, and than spend the remaining amounts on the LB's as far as defensive spending goes.

But lets say we give the large money to Briggs - what is the DL looking like as far as protecting the LB's - not too good in my opinion.
With the amount of money already spent on Washington and Fletcher wouldn't it be more prudent to spend the money up front on the DL? Or if you really want to give a $20 million bonus away why not focus on a shutdown CB to prepare for the eventual departure of Springs?
