Beware, HDMI cables that cost more than $25 are a big scam. HDMI cables send digital signals. Unlike analog signals, digital signals don't degrade. Of course you want to make sure you don't buy poorly made cables but you shouldn't pay an arm and a leg for cables. Apple sells HDMI cables for $20 if you're looking for HDMI cables.

As for XBox 360 Elite, Microsoft is definitely sticking it to Sony. There's really nothing compelling about the release though. It's a nice marketing gimmick and a way to generate fresh new press converge.

I agree that I cant tell much difference between a 25 dollar cable and a 60 dollar cable, but I know I've bought 2 25 dollar cables and had them quit on me for some reason... I have a friend that works installing fios with verizon and he gave me a cable that works great...
