Re: Springs and Taylor miss OTAs

Does he, or Drew, really think it's a good idea to try to demand a new contract after a relatively lousy season? I know he made his first ProBowl, but that was as an alternate (hell, Romo and Vince Young "made" the ProBowl).
I'd say he as to come out and perform well this season in order to start making demands.

That is all well and good but today's league doesn't work that way. Drafting Landry wasn't exactly a "vote of confidence". He knows that he is one of the most popular players and arguably the best player on the team. He deserved more money and I don't blame him for using his leverage. He certainly won't have more leverage next year when Landry has a year in the system under his belt.

You talk as if you have sat down with his agent and they told you this is why he is not here. If I'm correct he hasn't been to any of these as he likes to work out in FL. Remember when he got into that trouble a couple of years back it was the same thing. Your just making an issue out of something that you have no idea is even true.

Do you know what deductive logic is?

Why are so many people on this site blind? I read the Post and listen to Sportstalk 980; those are my main sources and I saw this coming a mile away. In fact I predicted the possibility of a hold-out sometime last year (most likely because of the idiotic contract they gave Archuletta).

Take the blinders off people. This organization literally pisses money away on a regular basis. Sean Taylor is a universally known commodity who deserves more money than Adam Archuletta and Laron Landry. He knows that and his agent know that and I would even guess that Daniel Snyder knows that. He is a guy who will put people in the seats so he deserves to get paid. I don't know how else to explain this to those of you who think that everything is merry in Ashburn. He has not spoken to anyone in the organization in weeks. He must have forgotten that the team has OTAs...

Hooskins asked me why I am overreacting. I don't view it as overreacting to promote an extension for our best player. Now when we sign a fourth stringer like David Macklin and then people ask what are we going to do with Carlos Rogers and Sean Springs? That is overreacting.

IMO he isn't our BEST player. Secondly, for what logical reason would you extend a player that has several years left on his contract at this point, with NICE INCENTIVES? To me that makes ZERO sense!

With ST you never know what your dealing with a mix between head case/ good player, yea of course he's a really good player. But it seems pretty clear he has some head issues.

So anytime a player gets extended it makes zero sense?

Lavar was extended
Samuels was extended
Thomas was extended
Jansen was extended
Lloyd was extended
Portis was extended
Moss was extended

I am sure that I have left a few out.

Those are examples ON JUST ONE TEAM.

So it makes zero sense to extend someone, then why does it happen all the time?

I said it makes ZERO sense to extend this (ST) player at this time, when he has several years left on his current contract WITH INCENTIVES.

What LOGICAL reason would they have to extend THIS PLAYER, NOT ALL these other names that have nothing to do with this thread?

Yes I know what that means but you are speaking as you know he is holding out and I don't care who you listen to they have know clue to what is going on. He has done this before, and did he hold out? No. he got in trouble with the law. LOL I'm just say before jumping to a conclusion which is all we could do at this point is to wait and see what happens. You say you read the post on this site but could you point us to the poster who has the inside information that ST is holding out. I'm not saying your wrong but maybe you should add a "I Think" or "in my opinion" rather than state something like its a fact.

He's NOT holding out right now. You're taking these rumors as fact.

Let's wait until the workouts become MANDATORY before we get our panties in a bunch. Until then, this is all just speculation, nothing more.

Sorry but you are overreacting right now. The OTA's are NOT mandatory, and he's only attended them once in his time here. Skipping these voluntary workouts are nothing new for him.
