Re: Springs and Taylor miss OTAs
How so?
Only once in his time as a Skin has he attended voluntary workouts. He's never held out, and he's never grumbled about his contract to the media. So why should we assume now it's his contact?? |

He did grumble about his contract before but never held out. He wants big money and with Landry about to get paid he will not play without a new contract. I'm sure of it.

Whoa...he grumbled once, to the best of my knowledge. And that was when that idiot Kellen Winslow II supposedly opened his mouth about the deal Taylor received during their rookie season. That being said, if Derrick Dockery can lock up a monster deal, no way in hell the Redskins will let Sean Taylor get remotely close to testing the market. |

Don't know what Dockery has to do with it. |

Re: Springs and Taylor miss OTAs
I think Dock's deal was much more a product of a hot guard market as opposed to his quality. Traditionally, safeties aren't earning that kind of pay (as least i don't think so), but neither were guards. Point being, i don't think you can translate Dock's deal to ST.

4 years, $25M, bonus of $11M. Salaries roughly went up about 30% this year, so we can project the current value of that deal to be $32.5M with a bonus of $14.4M. |

I'm not making a direct correlation in dollars, per se. But the fact that a guy like Dockery could command so much attention on the market, how much more could a game changer like Sean Taylor? Actual dollars aside, teams would line up from here to Baltimore to get this guy on their team. |
