He was a freelancer who probably didn't apply himself as much as he could have in the film room. You're right, his physical talents allowed him to do that. I think that's what led to his clashes with the Redskins' coaching staff. GW tried to reel him in a bit and he obviously didn't respond very well to it.

Oh well, it's over now. I wish him well, he was and probably always will be a fan favorite, but you can't help but wonder what he could have been.

OK so he wasnt the brightest light on the tree, but he was still one hell of a LB when he wasnt hurt. People said he freelanced, but look at the plays he made. I would hate to imagine what the skins D would have looked like without him. While I don't want us to resign him I hope that he makes a full recovery. If he does happen to get picked up by someone else I hope he returns to form.

With all of that said yes, it was stupid for him to ride under the conditions that he was, but everyone makes mistakes.
