If you remember his first pass was a long bomb to Loyd, who let it go right through his hands. It was symbolic of the kind of season it was for the offense, the whole team was out of sync. It took half a season to get the running game going. That said, JC did not have one game where he looked totally lost & made big mistakes. He led the team back against Philly & the g-men & although we didn't win those games, I think he showed great resolve in getting a losing team back in the fight. Could he suck this year? Sure, but I don't see any reason to think he would. What is his major flaw? I'd say just his lack of experience. He doesn't hold the ball too long, he can make virtually every throw & his accuracy will improve. He stays in the pocket & isn't easily rattled by pressure, but he can run & is a big guy who can take a hit. I know, I know, we're always optimistic in the offseason, but this isn't the ole ball coach & his draft pick. This is Joe Gibbs & his. He managed to get us to the playoffs w/brunell, I feel more of the same w/JC in the future. |
