To the topic creator, I would consider Adrian Peterson a big addition for the Vikings. I expect him to have an impact as soon as the season starts.

I don't doubt that he'll have an impact. I just don't think it will impact their record in any significant way.

One side of their offensive line is solid, the other is so-so. And it's not like you have an established quarterback and receiving threat to help out. If the Vikings fall behind early in games, I could see Peterson having a decent year, but not a great one.
