Ideally, a team can "play fast" for the first few possessions as long as they are scoring points and keeping the other teams defense from resting. If you are not marching down the field, you are then keeping your own defense from resting. Gibbs has always used the philosophy of shortening the game by running and being deliberate. I understand the logic behind the approach they use and I don't expect it to change. It's just that in watching these other teams, it seems like you can get the defense to the point where they are totally clueless, punch drunk, and tired. The caoches have been TALKING alot about changing things from last year and I think this is another thing they might consider. (I'm pretty sure they follow my postings very closely )

I think that Saunders will push harder for a faster tempo. Gibbs will resist and they might compromise in between.
