I agree with most of what you have said. For example, our off season moves on defense look like they will really pan out, and Id bet that if we get nothing else out of the season at least our defense will once a again reach the top 5 status it enjoyed before last season.

I think, however that our offensive line situation has made everyone hesitant to declare us a playoff bound team. No offense in the NFL can produce anything without a solid offensive line no matter what kind of weapons they have to work with (Arizona). A team like that will leave opposing teams in games for too long, and allow games to come down to the wire too often. Let's hope Tod Wade gets comfortable at G and that Heyer develops quickly because if they dont, we have no depth on the. I know maybe Pucillo could step in if Wade sinks past his knees, but he is also our depth at C. I see any major injury on the Oline being devastating to our team.

Who knows though, you could be right, maybe the defense wil be good enough to carry the team on their back once again, and we'll make the playoffs. Im just not sold on that quite yet.
