one of the miscues was due to santana looking injured and JC was checking on him...

with the spike (#2), yes i would have preferred a QB sneak, but i can understand wanting to give JC time to get the right personnel in the game...esp given his experience and what had been going on up until that point....

The sneak would have worked because (if I saw correctly and my seats look right down the goal line) the Giants had their pass D still in the game and had only three men on the line. By spiking the ball we also gave them a chance to get their run D on the field.
