Good teams beat who they are suppose to beat. Cowboys are for real and Romo is the real deal.

Cowboys are a good team. Give them credit. They have legit pass rushers, O-line is playing solid, WR's are good and Romo is really playing great football. I don't care who they have and have not played. They beat Chi in CHi. That's a good win and we would all be happy if we went into Chi and won a road game. They are beating the teams they are suppose to beat and that's the sign of a good team.

There beating horrible teams, there secondary is weak, but they have only played one team that could throw the ball, and that would be the Giants, who have no run game to speak of so they really couldnt balance there offense, yet still put up 35 on Dallas, in Dallas. I wont give them credit for beating bad teams. Just so you know Dallas' opponents have a combined record of 2-13, yeah they definately have faced some challenges, great team those cowboys.

I never said they were great. I just said they are beating the teams they are suppose to beat. We lost to the Giants at home blowing a big lead.

Re: Vomiting while I type this, but...

Let's breakdown the Cowboys:

QB- Romo so far looks like a Pro-bowler
WR-T.O., Crayton and Hurd look great and improving weekly, wait if and when Glenn gets back (more trouble)
RB-Barber has been playing like a Pro-bowler in my opinion, Jones is starting to play better.
TE-Witten looks like a Pro-bowler, good depth with Fasano
Offensive line-Has been great, all players doing their job

DE-Ware is a beast, Canty, Ellis and Spears are pretty solid
DT-Ratliff looks better than Ferguson
LB-Fast and good tacklers, playing great
Safeties- Look great
DB-Just got better now that Newman is back, Henry has had a great season so far.
Kicker and Punter-Have been consistent

Coaching-Jason Garrett has called great aggressive plays on offense

Injuries-Ferguson (season ending) Glenn (might be back)Newman (is back)Gregg Ellis (is back and had 1 1/2 sacks today)

Let's be honest here, we are all Skins fans in this forum but you have to give the opposition whether you like them or not their due.

It will be tough for us with our injuries on offense and lack of pass rush from our ends. It still is a long season and anything can happen, maybe the injury bug will hit them like us.

I gave Dallas their due: They MAY be the best team in the NFC right now. That's as far as it goes. When NE stomps Dallas this thread will seem pretty silly, and then all the commentators will restart the debate of whether there's an NFC team that can match the AFC.

Wasn't New York a much better team, defensively especially, when they beat us as opposed to when Dallas put up a 45 spot on them?

Yes, Dallas' offense is better than ours, but if New York had been as awful against the run and pass in Week 3 as they were in Week 1, that game probably wouldn't have been close.

I said that Dallas' win over the Bears in Chicago was really freakin impressive, but as it gets farther in the rear view mirror, it's already starting to look like a game they should have won.

I think the Giants will beat the Cowboys the next time they play. With all the pub Romo is getting, I think a lot of people are underrating the job Eli has been doing. Hell, I think a lot of people on here are underrating Eli...and he just put together a hell of a game on our home field to beat us.

Eli is really playing some good football right now. No question about that. Another guy that impresses me is Garcia. He's not flashy and he won't blow you away with stats. But all he seems to do is get the job done.

To me if you can win on the road against the NFC Champs then that is very impressive. Chi. is still a good team. Plus they are getting killed by injuries. It will be interesting to see how they will address the qb situation next year.

exactly!! my point from another thread last week. Everyone wants to make excuses about why we lose. Good teams win the games they should win, and if the teams Dallas has beaten end up as crappy teams, well, the did what they should have. Dominated them. Cant say the same for us can we??

Dallas may be downright scary if their defense catches up to their offense. Regarding good teams, they get on a roll by winning games they should, protecting their home field, and stealing a few against superior teams. Want to know how many winning streaks the Skins have had during Gibbs 2.0? Four total:

2004: none
2005: two - 3 game streak to open and 5 game streak to close the season
2006: one - 2 game streak (Houston & Jacksonville)
2007: one - 2 game streak to open this season

During the same period, we've endured nine losing streaks. We are in year 4 of Gibbs 2.0. Gibbs has had final say on player personnel, and The Danny has granted his every wish in assembling the most expensive coaching staff in history. It is time for this highly paid staff to put up or shut up, starting next week against Detroit. That is a home game against another potential playoff rival that you MUST win if you're a serious post-season contender.

Exactly, and after week 4 Dallas defense has leap-frogged to #7 in total defense in the NFL. After being 25th in week 1, I'd like to think that the defense is improving at a nice pace.
