Yeah, playcalling was on point in this game. We couldn't have had many more opportunities. You've got to think that Moss has something going on that he can't catch. And as big of a fan of his as I am, we need to sit Portis until he's 100%. He's just not the same player.

I don't know. He looked like he was running hard. The blocking could have been a little better.

Re: Our offense is Pathetic

The play calling was questionable as well.

We had something like 37 passes and 24 runs, All of this when: a) the field is deteriorating; b) 3/5 of our line gets injured (it's much easier to run block than pass block, especially in the rain and when the Pack line is very good); and c) your WR's are having a hard time hanging on to the ball. RUN THE BALL! Also, Cooley had 97 yards in the first half, 8 in the second. Huh? Easy, quick passes to Cooley also would have helped the line.

The U:

Didn't Moss, Portis and Sean Taylor all attend that institution of higher learning located in Miami? And if I'm not mistaken, their nickname is the Hurricanes. Hurricane implies wet weather, does it not? Presumably they have played in the rain in Siouth Florida before. So, please explain: Taylor (2 easy interceptions dropped; 2 out of 4 - arrrrggh; Portis - 1 fumble; Moss - 1 fumble and multiple drops.

Carlos Rogers: 1st round bust. That was the worst miss on Lee's catch

Running the ball wasn't helping either. Portis and Moss both fumbled on easy run plays.

Brian Mitchell said, you're paid to hold onto the ball under any circumstances. Though weather played a factor these guys have to guy out there and hold onto something. Not make excuses. I seriously doubt anyone is expecting perfection, but Cooley isn't some sort of genetically altered football catching beast that can magically catch in the rain. ANYONE can make 9 catches for 105 yards. The fact is Redskins WR's did not go out there and do the job. And even though Cooley was doing the best job of any of the receivers out there, it's bullshit to try to lay everything on him and make him step up cause everyone else can't. Besides, how long can you keep dropping passes into the guy before the opposing team starts to double team him?
