Re: Brady's going to take a cheap one someday
How ironic, people calling Bill Bellichick classless on this forum, and a majority seem to be for the Pats star player getting injured. Stay classy, San Diego.
I'm with davy on this. This is pro football, not pee wee.

Re: Brady's going to take a cheap one someday
Its funny the same people who think running up the score was a cheap shot and were ticked are the same people who want to see somebody take a cheap shot on Brady. If it happens I hope the league kicks the person out for a year.

It just gave the Pats a fresh set of downs and the chance to run more time off the clock. By that stage of the game the sooner it was over the better.

The 4th downs didn't bother me either. It was the bomb to Moss before that got under my skin.

Re: Brady's going to take a cheap one someday
I'm curious as to how those who thought it was fine would react if we had done the same thing and someone had taken a cheap shot on Campbell and knocked him out for the year.
I know the responses already actually "Would never happen, because Old Man Gibbs is scared to score"

Neither is right, running up the score nor intentionally injuring a player. But there is such a thing as reap what you sow.

I'm talking about "right" in terms of sportsmanship, not the rule book. Still, you do raise a valid point. My post was not meant to advocate anyone taking a shot on #12.

Sean Taylor and CP got fined for wearing a different socks than allowed (I think). Hitting Brady would make a lot more sense to me. That is why I was surprised not to see a late hit in the Skins-Pats game. Some might say the Redskins won't do it because it shows no class, well, what the Pats did showed no class either. Bob Sanders made it easier for the NFL to fine him, and maybe a suspension if he hits Brady late. |

Re: Brady's going to take a cheap one someday
So because they are one of the best O to have ever played the game so someone should take a cheap shot at Brady? Did you even read that before posting?

My logic is, if Brady is in the game acting like it is a normal game (when they are up by a bunch) and trying to score, fine. Brady or any other QB coud get a late hit in any game whether behind or leading by 4 touchdowns. If he gets hit, no one should complain. I am not sure that he will but we will have to wait and see. |
