The injuries are just getting ridiculous now.

Re: Thrash Injury

Malcom asked if any other team was so beset by injuries.

Try the Indy Colts. They only suited up 17 offensive players last night AND only suited up 45 players in toto because that's all the healthy bodies they had. THEN they lost both OTs during the game and had to shuffle their OL in the middle of it all.

Marvin Harrison AND Dwight Clark did not suit up. One of their go to receivers last night was Craphonso Thorpe - - that's not Jim Thorpe by the way.

Somehow, I think those losses to injury are equivalent to losing James Thrash in the final quarter of a game.

And no, I'm not down on James Thrash at all. He is a good player who hustles on every play (offense and special teams) and is one of those guys who "leads by example". But don't equate his loss to what the Colts went through on the same weekend.

Sure, other teams have it worse than we do. But, there aren't many. To lose your RCB, Pro Bowl OLB, Pro Bowl FS, Pro Bowl caliber RG, RT, Pro Bowl wideout, and have several other injuries to key players is going to be devastating. To think otherwise is crazy talk. It's easy to use cliches like "the next guy just needs to step up," it's another thing to expect guys like Pierson to step into Sean's shoes, Fabini to fill in well for Randy Thomas, etc. without missing a beat.
