That really wasn't a slam by any stretch, I mean he was telling the truth. We are just going to take it as that because he's a Dallas player.

Yeah I agree except for the last series we got into the red zone and ran 7 or 8 run plays in a row. That had Joe Gibbs written all over it. Otherwise, the ball was in JC's hands and the results were impressive all around.

I didn't touch on that this week but yes, I was very encouraged with the fact that Campbell seems to have been turned loose some this past week, I believe that has to happen if he is going to continue to progress, anything short of that will be a waste of his time in the learning, and experience department.

I think SC has a valid point regarding the WRs. Moss and Randle El have both been dinged up which has hurt their effectiveness. The fact that Thrash stepped in and had perhaps the best day our WRs have had all year is pretty startling and says something about Moss and ARE. Don't get me wrong on ARE, he's had a decent season and has come close to breaking the goal line a few times, but Moss has been a huge disappointment.
If we must insist on blaming Gibbs, if anything blame him as President for not having the right pieces in place for the offense to succeed. The gameplan is there, the talent (whether through skills or injuries) isn't always there.

Either way, I agree with Cowell. These comments are being blown way out of proportion

Not only that but look at the number of drops and missed catches this year. Right now Campbell is 156 for 261 59.8% 9TDs and 7INTs

We know that Moss can account for roughly 6 drops alone at GB, ARE and others can account for a few as well. Plus a couple of those INT's went right through the hands of a receiver, so you figure the receivers catch at least 10 more passes that were sure fire in thier hands Campbell probably looks more like this:

166 for 261 63.6% 11 TD's 5 INT's. Thats a very decent year for a second year starter.

JC himself was quoted this week, I'm paraphrasing, that you can't compare our O to the cowboys O b/c it's 2 different systems. He used phrases like...we can only do what we're allowed to do...run oriented...He didn't say anything we don't already know but interesting none the less. I think he had to bite his toungue a little.

I bet you can't find the clip of this because you made it up to prove a point. If not I'm sure there is a clip of it. Prove me wrong.

Re: Marcus Spears Comments on Jason Campbell

Allow me to point out that the WR trio of Moss/Randle-El/Lloyd were the architects of last year's highly productive season too. Someone can go dig up the original contracts they signed but I BELIEVE the total value for the three of them approaches $90M over 6 years.

Last year the Skins were 5-11.

This year, none of them has a TD pass in the first 9 games.

Taking off the burgundy-and-gold colored glasses for just the briefest of moments, I think it might be fair to say these guys have been over-paid and have under-delivered.

Then again, that's just me...
