Mike Williams to the Titans

Titans sign former USC star WR Mike Williams

This is a great pick up for the Titans, he has a real shot at becoming an actual star there due to lack of realistic options. I think we all forget that he had 30 tds in 2 seasons at USC including 176 catches and 2579 rec yards. All that done in only 26 games.

I am a little surprised we picked up Mix instead of the 6'5" Williams. Williams has a history of greatness.

Unsure as to why he didn't succeed, but with a lot of WR's, they can be mega talented, but if you don't throw to them, they look horrible. It's all about opportunity.

My sentiments exactly. Not quite sure where this history of greatness comes from. Yes he had some great raw talent at USC.... he hasn't shown anything at the pro level. VERY HAPPY we did not draft him. All off you who made a big deal out of the fact that we didn't draft him (You know who you are) should make a note of this and give the Skins personel dept some props.

Mort at ESPN reported that Mike Williams arrived at the Titans facility weighing 271 pounds. Anyone still wonder why people question his work ethic? When was the last time someone heard of a 271 pound wideout?

Wow...that's a good 30-40 pounds heavier than his USC playing weight. What an idiot.

This is some sort of traditional Thanksgiving Day joke, right?

Re: Mike Williams to the Titans

Didn't you just start a thread saying Calvin Johnson is a bust after like less than half a season? Now Mike Williams is going to be a star? I love it.

No...if you read the posts correctly, I basically ASK if he is a bust. Not once did I say he was, other than he is not living up to the hype. There is a big difference there. It's there to discuss cause this site is getting boring with the same threads over and over. I thought I'd add something different to discuss.

Mike Williams is a huge bust, but he has talent. He has not had opportunity though. Give him the opportunity and I bet he succeeds.

Mike Williams is slow as molasses. Maybe he could pass as a tight end?

You're right on, Zimm. A lot, well, some scouts are projecting him as a TE now, not really a WR.
