Re: Packers vs. Cowboys
Gumble is the worst announcer in history folks! I about fell asleep listening to that bumbling idiot in all his monotone glory.

Re: Packers vs. Cowboys
I was really touched by the way they honored Sean last night.
Boy, Sunday is going to be crazy emotional. |

Re: Packers vs. Cowboys
I am not sure that would have made a difference. When TO runs across the field nobody can cover him, and probably all except DeAngelo Hall are afraid to jam him at the line. I know you are a Farve Fan, but the Dallas Secondary is their weakness. This was an opportunity to to show what he could do. 5-14 and 2 INTs.

Re: Packers vs. Cowboys
I thought that last pass interference call that set up the final Cowboys TD was pretty suspect. I didn't think it was pass interference, though I could see the argument for it. Still, when it's so close like that it's a shame to see a good tight game like that essentially decided by the refs and not the teams.

Re: Packers vs. Cowboys
Anybody else that can't stand the SOUND of Gumbel's high pitched nasally voice? The commentary was pathetic and you could hear Collinsworth try to control himself from making B.G. sound like a complete jackass. I swear Gumbel knows almost nothing more than any fan anywhere regarding football. I kept waiting for him to throw out little chestnuts like, "you know, there are 4 downs in a possession, unless a team makes a first down, then they get 4 more downs" and "Tony Romo plays quarterback for the Dallas Cowboys."

Re: Packers vs. Cowboys
Did anyone catch it that Gumbel referred to the Cowboys 3 times as the Packers in the first quarter! I couldn't believe it the 2nd time, but then he did it again talking about Barber; "Mike McCarthy calls him the heart of the Packer offense."
The nfl network just sounds & feels weird, I don't care much for it. And what was up w/them showing Deion's mike cord coming out his ass? I thought the intent of tucking the cord beneath the jacket was to conceal it, not for the camera man to zoom in on while he's talking. |

The NFLN still has a long way to go as far as covering games go. You know what pissed me off the most? The fact that they didn't display what quarter it was on the screen. Half the game I found myself saying, "What F'ing quarter is it??" |

Re: Packers vs. Cowboys
For those that missed the beginning of the game it was extremely emotional. One minute the place is electric. Texas Stadium was as loud as I've ever heard over the announcer's mics. The game announcer came across asking for a moment of silence for Sean Taylor and I swear you could hear a pin drop. It wasn't just the players or the coaches, but the entire stadium was quiet.
