If Todd Collins leads us to a win over the Giants, I'll donate money to this site. How much are paid memberships, btw? That's what bets on this site should be about - not about week long bans and self imposed exiles, but losers ought to pay money to the site - at least it benefits the site.

The Bears' defense reminds me of our defense last year...it was throughly exploited by Redskins. Props to Todd for stepping it up and the o-line for giving him protection.

Where did Collins come from? He looked like he was making a statement last night for us not to count him out. It's great to get the backups in, but I still want Jason back quickly. I also agree that this is the Al offense that we should see once everyone gets up to speed. I can't wait.

You need a Beta machine to watch tape on Collins

Re: Omg! Wtf! Lol! Todd Collins Is So 1337
I mentioned a few weeks back in other threads that I wanted to see if Todd Collins or Mark Brunell could execute this offense better than Jason Campbell. After last night, I got the feeling that Todd could. I noticed this about him. He gets rid of the ball way quicker than JC. On that Ladell Betts TD, there's no way JC unloads the ball that quickly and that accurately. Had he still been in, that probably would've been a sack, maybe fumble, and at best we're settling for 3. Todd Collins put the nail in the coffin, which is what we've been waiting for JC to do all season. Hopefully watching TC come in and run this O like he'd been doing it all season served Campbell well.

Re: Omg! Wtf! Lol! Todd Collins Is So 1337
yea i was also pretty terrifed when todd came in.. i was expecting brunell... or "old man time" but he did have a great game, showed some accuracy and lead our team to a win. i think a main reason why we won that game was because insstead of having the lead and playing conservatively.. we drew in that huge blitz and shoved a TD down their throats by attacking them. ho0w many starters are injured for us? do they make a number so high?

Re: Omg! Wtf! Lol! Todd Collins Is So 1337
Some people actually seem to believe that Todd Collins is the answer at quarterback for this team. What I'd like to know from those people is, if Collins is truly "Tom Brady", or "should have been the starter all season", what should Washington do as a team, going forward?
I honestly want to know how Washington build's a team around a 36 year old quarterback, that has never been good enough to start in his 10+ year career? Personally, I think he looks like an old Chad Pennington. Saying he's "accurate" is a nice way of saying he has no arm strength, and he's as about as mobile as a statue. I'd like to hear a little more than a knee jerk "OMg!! ToDd CoLlinZZzz!!" type reaction. |

Re: Omg! Wtf! Lol! Todd Collins Is So 1337
While Campbell has improved his decision making over last season, Collins really demonstrated how this offense can look with even quicker decision making. I was astonished at how Collins was able to easily complete passes to tight spaces with far less velocity on the ball. In the Saunders system, it's clearly about making your read, and getting the ball out of your hand quickly. Jason should study Collins's play yesterday, and try to speed up his reads/delivery.

Re: Omg! Wtf! Lol! Todd Collins Is So 1337
There is definitely a huge drop off in how much zip he puts on his passes compared to Campbell. He's a reliable back up and if there's any hope of making the playoffs, he's going to have to come through for us...
