Re: I can't wait till next year
I'm not looking forward to next season because I am just not sure we will be sitting pretty next year. I'm still crying in my beer, so I'm not ready to think about next year yet. Maybe after I get back from vacation.

Re: I can't wait till next year
I know. Still LOVE my skins though. I'll be back to normal in a couple days or so. I leave for Hawaii in a couple weeks, so I'm sure I'll be fine after that!

Has the eternal beacon of hope from the Southwest dimmed tonight? I hope not. It is fine to be melancholy tonight but I expect to see you back to your optimistic ways by next fall. Good job this year jsarno, keeping hope alive...Hail Skins. |

To make matters clear, I still feel we will be a playoff team next year, but it's going to be a very hard road this offseason which I am not looking forward to.

Re: I can't wait till next year
Campbell's full grasp of the offense is the most significant challenge to overcome in the offseason. Look at how much quarterback play can buoy a team. Though the Giants are the only team in the playoffs who win in spite of their QB, all the rest of the 10 contenders this postseason boast efficiency at QB. Vince Young makes up for his oft-inaccurate passing with quick feet. Phillip Rivers is serviceable and a fiery leader. I don't have to make points to sell you on any of the other QBs currently carrying their respective teams on their shoulders.
Once we have Jason running the O smoothly and efficiently, and finally break the barrier of scoring more points per game than the league average (25 ppg would be ideal), then everything else will fall in place. It is a pass-first league predicated on solid QB play, and if Jason doesn't make big strides in the offseason, we're in for another mediocre season. |
