I feel very proud as well. I never thought this team would make the playoffs this year--let alone have a winning record.

But I also feel as though these playoff chances are just to precious to squander with this franchise. 3 playoff runs in the past 15 years makes me wonder if when this team will be back here again...

Or you could say 2 playoff runs in the past 3 years.

Not sure why you're looking back so far and how that's relevant to the current team.

I agree with your thought of 2 playoff runs in 3 years...this team has a much better mojo to it than it did in years past. Gibbs has brought respectability back to Washington, and the whole demeanor has changed.

Because I am spoiled. My first 15 years as a fan, being a kid in DC during the 80s, I became programmed to expect a consistent playoff team with the Skins. The last 15 years have been brutally frustrating at times.

But very good point about 2 playoff runs in the last 3 years. Coupled with how this team battled back so well after the Taylor tragedy--I do feel good about that...

I'm right there with you...I was a fan back in the late 70's and had a great run through to the very early 90's. The past 15+ years have not been kind.
Still I thank my dead great uncle for getting me into football and more importantly, he was a Boston Redskins fan back in the 30's and followed the team to Washington. He got me into the Skins instead of the Pats. THANK YOU UNCLE TONY!
