What Changes Should We Make Going Into 08?

Well that was a great season very proud of the Skins & Gibbs. What changes would you like to see for next season. Upgrade D-Line, O-Line & CB. Your Thoughts?

O-line just need to get healthy but changes still need to be made there. Possibly another safety but not to take Landrys place by far. If Springs isn't back who knows guess smoot and rodgers will be there. And we need to sign back Rock he is so underated

A 6'3+ receiver without a doubt, also a de or cb with our 1st round pick.

Yes all that, plus depth at O line like our fellow Warpath buds have suggested. Mainly this season was screwed over by ungodly injuries/tragedies and downright crappy execution.

We should cut Griffin, Brunnel, Fabini, Daniels, Springs, and Wade. We should sign Corey Williams of Greenbay, and Jared Allen. We should draft the best corner we can and concentrate on the O-line. If we can trade Wade, and Lloyd that would be great, but I doubt it.

Uhm. I think we need a 3rd string QB?

What are our draft picks this year? also i think qb Joe Flacco from Delaware would be a good 3rd qb pick-up. he should go early third round.

i think we keep Brunell...

alot of people don't realize in 2006 he was rated like the #6 backup in the NFL.. all he's done since then is get somewhat healthier and probably learn the offense and help in the development of Jason Campbell..

I really doubt Brunell stays, he'll probably retire. Either way I don't think they'll continue to pay him the money he makes to be 3rd string.

I would really like them to pick up a good DE, either draft or Free Agent...I think that's the biggest need.

Re: What Changes Should We Make Going Into 08?

i dont know that we could cut springs with Carlos not being able to play until mid season. Definately DL help, also LB help with Rocky probably out all next year. definately need some safety help, whether its FA or draft. although, Dougherty played very well the last few weeks and i believe he will make a bigger stride during the offseason.

changes - offensively - hopefully we can keep Al Saunders and have Jason able to run the entire playbook next year. This offense is on the verge of breaking out. the 3rd year in his scheme is when the changes are dramatic.

defensively - hopefully we can get back to the aggessive attacking D we used the last month or so for an entire season. I think we are much better when we are forcing the issue than we are playing the cover 2 we employed earlier in the year.

Re: What Changes Should We Make Going Into 08?

the offense need to run the same plays for campbell that they run for collins. why do we have our rocket-arm quarterback throwing CHECKDOWNS all the time while weak armed Collins(granted, he knows the full playbook and did great in my opinion) taking the deep shots?..Campbell will improve in that area if we let him - and it starts in preseason..

Draft a pass rushing end. Daniels and D. Evans gotta go. sorry.
Pick up an outside LB - since McIntosh will not be ready by the start of next season and could be out for quite a while.
Possibly another CB. I like springs, but he is slowing down and it's obvious.
Get a big-bodied go-to type receiver to complement Moss & Randle El.
I'd also like to see the team revamp their offseason conditioning program. all the hamstring injures made a lot of guys miss practice and games.

basically, make the necessary additions/subtractions, and practice like there's no tomorrow.

I think we need to keep Fabini for depth. I think he has played well in place of R. Thomas and he can come in if needed. I still think Springs is our best corner, I would re-open the restructure talks. Why not pay our only real corner. Get rid of Wade if Jansen can play again. Obviously Heyer can start for Jansen if needed but why not keep Wade as a back up. Drafting O-line depth is still a necessity.

I agree with Daniels, Brunnell and Lloyd, but maybe we could also get Griffin to re-structure for D-Line depth behind Montgomery and Golstin.

Just my thoughts. It sucks we are talking about this instead of Dallas.

Re: What Changes Should We Make Going Into 08?

1. depth at O-line

2. secondary (possibly a safety next to Landry & more depth at corner depending on Springs)

3. another young talented receiver to replace Brandon Lloyd.. (Troy Williamson probably will be available...he's made a TON of mistakes as a Viking.. but he has speed and can get open in the secondary.. we would need to coach him up in terms of catching the ball)

4. another big time pass rusher to benefit andre carter on the d-line..

5. boulster overall depth at each position to overcome possible injury situtations..
