Re: ESPN: Redskins to Interview G. Williams Today

Here is Jason La Canfora's latest blog concerning Gregg Williams, Russ Grimm, Greg Blache, and a possiblity of hiring a GM.

Redskins Insider

Greg Blache is not interested in the head coaching position nor is he interested in interviewing for it.

Hiring a GM? Man, this place would go crazy if that happened.

Unfortunately, I reread that part, and I think it's a typo. Looks like Jason meant to say, "There would be no GM hired."

Good stuff. I imagine he meant "no GM hired" not "on GM hired"

Changes made to the offensive side of the ball I imagine means to the coaching staff (guys like Burns, Breaux)

I keep hearing so many different things about Grimm that I'm not sure what's true anymore. I've heard they interviewed, they spoke but it wasn't an interview, they have gotten permission yet to interview, Grimm declined any interview request. So who knows.

Seems like Greg Blache is almost done with coaching altogether

I'm thinking Burns, Breaux, and maybe even Bugel could be gone. Maybe Dan is trying to lure Grimm to Washington if Bugel leaves? Who knows.

If Greg Blache is done, I guess that means Gregg Williams (assuming he gets the job) would also keep duties as a defensive coordinator?

If Bugel doesn't return, and Saunders does then I think the Redskins should make a push for Mike Solari. He was the offensive line coach under the Al Saunders offense in KC.

Although Solari will likely be heading to Baltimore if Marty Schottenheimer is named coach of the Ravens.

Williams is still on staff as Assoc. head coach right? So if Danny wants to promote him what is to he is the interm head coach until we could so the roney rule. Just a thought.

He could say GW is the head coach on an interm basis untill we interview the miniorities. Then promote him to head coach officially. But hopefully he is calling him it behind the scenes. Who knows.

That's where I wouldn't mind having Russ Grimm.
