Have to somewhat disagree with the assessment as he has not achieved "Danny White" status yet. Tantrum O and his three female friend receivers: Teresa, Samantha and Patricia, as well as their offensive line (literally especially in the second-half) cooked their goose. That being said, Romo's performance dropped off toward the end of the year. Was it the media attention? Probably that played a role. But it also affected the whole team, including the coach.

I definitely think they got distracted with the media down the stretch.

Makes me appreciate more what the Pats have done this year. No team has received as much press (good or bad) as them. Shows character and maturity counts. That's why I'm banking that we'll be in the thick of things for years to come regardless of whatever anyone else does in the division.

Don't forget that Romo showed the same drop off the 06 season, at the same point in the regular season, as he did this year.

Exactly right...he came in red hot off the bench last year and lit it up....then stalled out late in the season, and lost the playoff game.....and the exact same thing happened this year!

Not taking anything away from them, they have a good team and had a great season.....but they got lucky in a lot of games this year I thought...and they didn't have that luck today.

Thought it was his final five or six games last season. Thought this tail off was nearer the end around the Eagle game. Guess it doesn't really matter. Hope it's a continuing trend.

BR,
