Re: Jim Mora Jr.?

My theory on him getting hired would be:

He's got HC experience
He's young and commands respect
Has a winning record even if it isn't much
Is a good HC

I started thinking if Snyder changes his mind and hires Mora Jr. why would he do that? He looks at the Cowboys keeping Garrett (a young bright prospect for HC next year or the following) he looks at Williams (a little older) if he fails then What? If he picks Mora (also a young bright person w/ HC experience) he would also have a bright young up and coming coach to compete with the Cowboys in the long run. I think Mora failed in Atlanta because of Vick (great athlete but not much of a QB). Maybe this is a bunch of nonsense in my part.

See I don't think Mora commands respect. I think guys like Mike Singletary command respect. Mora? No thanks. I remember hearing a story about how he could not control DeAndelo Williams. Now that is not an easy thing to do but he seems too buddy buddy with the players if you ask me. He kind of reminds me of Pete Carroll. He'd make a great college coach. Plus that whole University of Washington ordeal. I mean the guy has an NFL job and goes on the radio lobbying for a college job? What the hell is that all about? I would stay far away from this guy.

Not only that...but look at the kinds of guys that were on that team and how they acted...and ask yourself if Gibbs would have let that slide

Re: Jim Mora Jr.?

I've seen the Defensive coach side of him here in SF and all the players love him and respected him, he's a players coach. If you watched the Seattle game, same thing. I would much rather have GW, but Mora is not a bad alternative. As far as controlling D. Hall who cares, the guy is talented but he's a punk like Pacman, nobody could control someone like that, the solution would be to trade him or cut him. By the way, Andre Carter would endorse him having played for Mora.

He's nobody compared with Williams, and should have been dismissed from the start.

Andre Carter has already endorsed GW.

Pretty much every player and coach has endorsed GW. I don't think Mora would be a good fit. He may have had success in the past, but I still don't trust him. He typically runs a west coast offense (thats what Atlanta ran), and I think he runs a 3-4 defense (I could be totally wrong).

Snyder said he wanted stability. Hiring Mora would be the opposite of stability.

Snyder is a whore for attention so we won't know until after Sunday's games at the earliest.......

Agreed. If they go that route and disrupt team chemistry (they will, switching to a West Coast offense and 3-4 defense) it will create problems. Mora overall is not a bad coach, if he ended here AC would endorse him(Carter endorsed GW before Mora was even a candidate).

I've asked this before but did not get an answer. You say most players and coaches have endorsed GW so please provide a link which proves this to be true. I know a few are on record as backing GW but I have not seen anywhere that all these players are on record for GW.

I don't have links. I go by what I see on the local news here when the players are interviewed. Plus, I'm sure almost EVERYONE on this board knows that most of the players have endorsed GW.

Why do you find it so hard to believe?
