One thing that makes me incredibly wary with coaches, especially since I believe they don't really change the win/loss outcome of games, is when they get fired from a team in which they've been doing a lot of winning.
Why did the 49ers fire Mooch? Why did the Giants fire Fassel? They both had winning records. That's probably something Danny addresses in the interview process.
