Heres a link to an interview with John Riggins - he said he had talked with Peter King recently and King said it was not looking good that Art Monk was going to get in the HOF this year. Art Monk not getting in the HOF is getting more and more pathetic as each year passes....

Another excellent article on Monk:

Well the big day is finally here, the big day being the hall of induction and the possibility of redskins going in, is anyone wearing their colors today? I had trouble deciding which jersey to wear an authentic 70th #28 or a #81 I got off ebay. I guess I have to roll with the #81 in support of him getting into the HOF. Anyone else sporting their colors today?

I heard an interview on John's show with another sports reporter, I think he wrote for the New York Daily News and his name was "Something" Glover? Anyway, he said that he actually went to the same high school as Monk and although he doesn't have a vote he thinks Art should have been in long ago and the unfortunately there still just isn't "a groundswell of support" amongst the voters to get Monk into the Hall this year...looks like another year of disappointment...hopefully now that Green is going in he'll start lobbying for Monk the way Aikman did for Micheal "Crackhead" Irvin.
