Re: Spagnuolo stays with Giants!
Interestingly, JLC is reporting that Grimm was never contacted for an interview. Now, as much as we have been told that this search is about being thorough, don't you think they'd at least talk to the ex-Hog? And how bad is this search now that it's down to 2 re-treads and Meeks (who is probably the most promising). If Grimm never even gets a call, this has to be the least thorough "thorough" interview process.

If he wasn't considered to be a candidate why would they talk to him? So far they've talked with Williams, Schwartz, Spags, Meeks, Mariucci, Carroll, and Fassel (am I missing anyone). So by not interviewing Grimm this wasn't a thorough process?? |

Re: Spagnuolo stays with Giants!
Perhaps I mis-spoke. They thoroughly interviewed 2 re-treads, a college coach who would never leave SC for the Skins, 1 promising D-coordinator who never got another call (Schwartz), an in-house D-coordinator, a 1st year D-coordinator hot out of the SB who went back to being a #2 rather than coming here, and Meeks. I guess when I think about a thorough search, I talk to all potential viable candidates (especially those with some kind of connection to the organization). And how can he not even be considered but they seriously think about Mariucci?

I just don't understand those that have a hard-on for Grimm. I can easily see why teams would be intersted in Mooch over him. Mooch has a proven track record in this league, Grimm doesn't have HC experience. What else is there to say? |

Sorry but Grimm wouldn't make the list any more legitimate to me. Sure Grimm was up for the Pitt job but he got passed up for a complete unknown. Fassel or Mooch are solid choices considering what's available. Guys with proven track records, and Fassel has been to a SB. |

Re: Spagnuolo stays with Giants!
At least the Bears were interested in Adam Archuleta before we made the savvy move to steal him. NOBODY is interested in Fassil, for any position, and I just have to think that there is a reason. Snyder and Vinny do not know better that the rest of the NFL, they've earned that much. They've painted themselves into a corner, and this is plain to see.
