Re: Favorite Stand-up Comedian:
Hey, hey, Rachel dear...I used to really like Steven Wright's stand-up until I saw Half-Baked and then for some reason I never thought he was all that funny afterwards. The movie overall was pretty good.

Re: Favorite Stand-up Comedian:
I saw the jalepeno on a stick routine friday night, it wasn't that funny. I've seen a couple other of his standups and they were good though.

I cant believe that it took this long for someone to mention Richard Prior and Eddie Murphy. When I was a kid I would watch them on my parents vhs.I even think they had some old Richard Prior on beta.It was a little dirty for such young ears but I loved them and still remember some of the jokes to this day.

Re: Favorite Stand-up Comedian:
All great comedians listed. One I have to add is Nick Swardson. Saw him at GW last year, he's hilarious.

Re: Favorite Stand-up Comedian:
I like most of these people up here, except for Dane Cook. He's just not funny, IMO. I've seen a couple of excerpts from his shows, and I keep waiting for something to be funny, but it never is.
Is there something specific someone can point me to of his that's actually funny?

Re: Favorite Stand-up Comedian:
Dane Cook is someone you either find hilarious or annoying. Personally I think he's hilarious.
I agree with pretty much everyone that's been named here. I like going to comedy shows, it's a more laid back atmosphere vs. going to see a band. I've seen Ron White, Larry The Cable Guy, Bill Maher, and Lewis Black in the past few years. |
