Don't know much about him, maybe someone with an insider account can post his scouting record, I for one would like to see it.
Personally I think we have a great talent in Robert Royal. He is still pretty rough but from what I saw he has the heart and is a very good receiving TE. I'd like to see him get some play time at least in pre season! |

I was actually thinking the same thing, is Heath Miller going to be available in this years draft? I think he is an underclassman so he would have had to declared early...

Keith Willis TE | (6'5" ![]() By Scouts Inc. Grade: 46 Comments: Has soft hands, can catch the ball away from his frame and can make spectacular catches. Shows some burst coming out of his cuts and is an adequate route-runner. Has good body control and can adjust to poorly thrown balls. Gets upfield quickly, has good athletic ability and can be productive after the catch. Shows some awareness and does an adequate job of selling his blocks before releasing off play-action. Is tall, has long arms and is capable of winning jump balls downfield. Has deceptive speed and flashes the ability to get down the seam. Works to finish his blocks once locked onto defenders and has strength to sustain when he is in good position and works to finish. Works hard in the weight room and has added bulk as well as strength. Is a tough player who plays through pain. Willis is inconsistent and has yet to approach his potential. Doesn't explode into his blocks, doesn't play with a mean streak and at times appears to take plays off when he is a blocker on the backside. He must play with better leverage or defensive ends will push him into the backfield when he comes out of his stance too high. Lacks a powerful initial punch and doesn't always maintain separation from the defender. Appears soft at times and needs to be more of a competitor when the ball is in the air. He has great hands, but loses focus occasionally and drops some passes Willis briefly played for Virginia Tech's basketball team as a freshman, but turned his attention to football in 2000. Willis started his final two seasons at Virginia Tech. He had only eight receptions in '02 and seven receptions in '03 in a run-friendly offensive scheme. Willis has some big-play ability as a receiver and the size and power to be an adequate inline blocker, but he was mostly an underachiever. Part of his problem was his lack of involvement in the passing game. In the Gridiron Classic, we saw how effective he could be when he becomes more of the focus. However, he doesn't appear to play with the same intensity on every snap, he needs to be more physical at the point of attack as a blocker, and he must improve his focus, technique and route-running. Willis still needs a lot of polish, but he is an extremely * Player biographies are provided by Scouts Inc |
