Re: Zorn and Skins to pursue D. J. Hackett
*I* was not very optomistic about signing Hackett because it wasn't likely he was going to receive a max offer, and the team is not desperate for his services. Since we do have other options, him rejecting the teams offer is no big deal.
I like the approach, they offered him a deal they felt comfortable with, he rejected it so we move on. We're not begging, other opportunities will present themselves.

Re: Zorn and Skins to pursue D. J. Hackett
I like our approach also. It is nice to see us actually negotiating rather than immediately giving away the farm. I think we still have at least a 50/50 shot to get Hackett.

I dont think odds are that good....I think closer to 25% to land him... He implies three other teams will match the Skins offer Look at the coach's quote below “This will all be up to him,” coach Jim Zorn told David Elfin of the Washington Times. ”We’re not going to risk it all to try to pay him. The financial package has to work. But if we have a chance to get him, we’d like to have him. He’s got two other teams plus Seattle that wants to match [his contract offers].”
