Redskins re-sign Frost.

I'm glad they came to terms, as I would think this is a budget move. I also think Frost has earned a chance to keep improving and will.

Punter Frost Agrees to Return to Redskins

Derrick Frost (Don Wright Photo)
Punter Derrick Frost has agreed to terms on a new contract with the Redskins, the team has announced.

Frost completed his third season as the Redskins' punter. He was also the holder on field goal attempts, adding to his value on special teams.

Frost produced a 41-yard punting average last year, good enough for 18th best in the league. His 36.4 average net yards was 21st in the league.

He placed 23 punts inside the 20-yard line and produced a career-long of 64 yards in Week 1 vs. Miami. His best game may have been Week 6 in rainy conditions in Green Bay where he had eight punts for a 47.5-yard average.

Frost's NFL career has been marked by bouts of inconsistency, but he has steadily improved as he has grown into the job.

It's better to be silent and be thought the fool, than speak and remove all doubt

Me neither, even though I will say he will stick his nose in a broken play and make a tackle if he has to. But his punting is suspect. but that's JMO.

Genius statement by the great Mark Twain...

I do not have any problems with Frosty. He seems to get the job done and a good holder is worth his weight in gold (sorry Cowgirls...). Next to a longsnapper, which we are set on for at least one more season, Its one of the most underrated, and most difficult things to do. I used to do both and holding isnt as easy as it looks.

Off topic a bit but does anyone remember the Turk brothers? Freakin Dan Turk cost us the playoffs in '99/'00 (may have gotten the year wrong) then I couldnt stay mad at him cuz he died like a week later! RIP Dan Turk...

I believe I read the other day Matt re-signed with the Texans (I Think) at 39 years old or something like a two year deal.
