I finally got a Wii!

Best Buy had them available online yesterday and I picked one up. I see that they're already sold out today though.

So anyway, what are some must have games and accessories? I'm really looking forward to trying this thing out. Is the new Mario Kart any good?

I played Mario Kart for a little bit at a buddy's house and really enjoyed it. If I was going to buy Wii that would be the first game that I would get.

I have mario Kart and its a lot of fun playing with an actual wheel.The only thing I dont like about the game is how at the end of the race the guy behind you always has some power up that you cant avoid.Other than that its a lot of fun.

If you are a fan of old school nintendo games then you need to get on the Wii shopping channel and download them to your Wii.I have all the old super marios,even the version of super mario brothers 2 that was only released in Japan.They have most of the old titles and update it from time to time.

I'd definitely try Madden on the Wii. I've never played the Wii before though so I wouldn't know what games are must haves.

I have the Wii also. Stood in line for over five hours one frozen Feb. morning. It was cool for a couple days but to be honest it is just ok IMO. Too me it is just a Gamecube with a funky joystick.

I still love 360 the best! I think Wii is best for kids and amatuer video gamerers. Matty you seem to be into the more adavnce games like myself, I am interested in your opion of the Wii in a few weeks after you get your feet wet.

Zelda for almost infinite playing time. Madden game play is unique and decent but the graphics suck. Resident Evil 4 is good if you haven't played it on another systems. And of course, my all time favorite Wii game.... Disney Princess: Enchanted Journey

When Wii first came out I had no desire whatsoever to play it, let alone buy it. Now that I've played it a few times at friends' houses will say that it is great to play with a bunch of other people.
Personally, I still wouldn't buy one but I will grab the Wii-mote if I'm at a friend's house.

AMD, you are i nthe right place with the Wii. Yeah I have had a couple house parties and it has been fun while drinking but never have I rushed home to play it for hours, like I do with GTA on 360.

I seriously can't wait for GOW 2!

I'm definitely more of a hardcore gamer but I think the Wii will be fun for having friends over plus my wife likes to play Mario Kart.

i bought the new gun (it looks like a rifle) can't remember what it's called, and the game Ghost Squad. that's pretty fun.

RE 4, Zelda: Twilight Princess, Super Mario Galaxy, Warioware, Rayman 1, No More Heroes, Smash Bros, and Metroid are some good ones and defintitely don't forget the old school games you can get online. i've also heard that this new game called Boom Blox which was designed in collaboration with Steven Speilberg is a pretty kewl one.

I've had a Wii since they came out. My wife got it for me as a gift. I played Madden for all of a half an hour and then it was trade bait. Definitely a family console but it is fun depending on what you do. I LOVE Wii Sports, Wii bowling is the shit ! If you have children then just about any Wii game is cool. Have not played Mario Kart but I hear I NEED to buy it. I would suggest to get the rechargeable battery set because I guess it would be a convinience which is why I'll be getting one soon. I have the gun attatchment which I use for Medal of Honor. Zelda was ridiculously fun to play. Oh yeah, and I play Guitar Hero III like a mother. Can't get through Metallica's One on the Hard level. That FREAKING SOLO !!!!
Now I love violent games but I need to go ahead and get either a 360 or a PS3. I may go with a 360 because I do not like the new controller that the PS3 has. Loved the PS2 but the 3 controller feels wierd, but I've gotten used to the XBox controller because of Halo.

I got my wii for my children for Christmas. Being that I have a 7, 4, and 2 year old the wii is great for them. But I must admit that I do enjoy, every game that we bought for the wii. So far we have got Lego Star Wars the complete saga, Super Paper Mario (This game is cool because it mixes the old school mario in with the game.), Super Mario Galaxy, and Mario Kart (which rocks).

If anyone is hooked up to the net and has mario kart let's race sometime. I also like that the wii is wi-fi capable.

YOOOOOO I had Trauma Center Second Opinion ! It was crazy how you could be performing surgery on a heart and all of a sudden a huge shard of glass comes out of it. Crazy !
