I just read Dillweed's breakdown, which was brilliantly through. I 100% agree with him that the linebackers getting blocked by anything that moved was our biggest problem, but I do think Carter played better than the YPC to his side would suggest. I think the biggest thing is that half the time, the Redskins were in the 4-3 Solid, meaning that Carter was not the outermost man on the line. He actually held the line well, I thought, but that meant he was getting doubled in the running game, and that Washington would have to make a play on the outside. Marcus made a few plays, but as the YPC bear out, the Giants enjoyed way too much success running at him.

I can't count the amount of times I saw the DT's coming hard down the line to engulf the cutback lane, only to watch the LBs blown out of the hole before the pursuit could get there. It wasn't pretty.
