So if the coach, QB, linemen or nobody else seemed to take issue with the comments either in the press or off the record-which always gets reported anyway, who were they out of line to?

If the coach, QB, and linemen DID have issue with the comments, do you honestly think they are going to tell the media about it?

That is what a locker room is for. Keep it in house and handle it in house.

If Portis had an issue, he should have addressed it internally, and not vent it to the media. It is so "Chad Johnson" to do that.

We've all seen "un-named sources said" things when someone speaks out of school.. They may not call him out specifically in the press, but if there's dissension than it's never a secret to the press. When someone says what he said, if it was a true problem, it gets out.

And that it so "Chad Ocho Cinco" to you sir.

Yeah, exactly right about keeping it in house. I'm sure Portis got some opinions from teammates/coaches behind closed doors on his comments last week. He definitely should have kept his mouth shut to the media.

As far as B-mitch is concerned- I think he's in bounds to call out Portis for running his mouth last week. But I understand why Portis got pissed about the conditioning/commitment comments. He spent all offseason here in DC working out with the team and taking on a larger role as a leader. If anything his commitment and conditioning has improved over the past year. And Clinton has worked hard for that. So if he felt like his hard work and dedication was being discounted by B-Mitch, then I he had every right to be pissed off.

B-Mitch is a pain in the ass.

We don't really know if anyone took an issue with it or not. I'm sure something was said behind closed doors.

b-mitch is, simply put, an ASS. he consistantly tries to get under peoples skin. he and portis have been at it for years. i think portis just finally let out his feelings after keeping them bottled up for so long. b-mitch is mr. negativity, i wish he would shut up and go away.
