I wish I would have been wrong, but I knew that contract was a colossal mistake. The worst part is how Abe's hamstrung the team for the next four years with this off-season.

I can't agree more. They played better without him, so why not let him go? I would have gone after Elton Brand to go alongside Butler and Jamison in the frontcourt and maybe would've drafted a PG to play behind Antonio Daniels. I don't know, I like Arenas, but we're better off without him.

He might miss the first two or three months of the season apparently.

Anyhow, I don't know that we're better off without him per se. But we've definitely shown that we can win without him. We definitely need to get a good young true PG regardless. Not sure Dee Brown cuts it

Yeah, Dee Brown seems like he would've been a Bullet point guard during the late 80's early 90's. An Enis Whatley or Steve Colter type. Maybe an AJ English? Decent ball handler and passer, but will get you about 3.8 ppg if you're lucky. Hopefully Nick Young pans out. I guess he's more of a shooting guard though. He just looks too skinny to play defense vs. other shooting guards. I'm sure Eddie Jordan has nightmares of Bonzi Wells-types abusing him in the post. I'll predict the Wizards to go 44-38 and lose to the Cavs in the first round of the playoffs, unless Blache becomes an all-star caliber player and Young, Pecherov, McGuire and Pecherov become more reliable off the bench.
