Run Blocking. I'm so tired of seeing Portis hit before he gets to the LOS. Open some running lanes for this man and our offense, with its new and improved passing game, will be explosive.

I feel like he can't ever get a head of steam straight up the gut. When we flip it to him on a toss/sweep kind of play he can almost always get around the corner for at least 7 or 8 yards.

I feel the same way. What I don't understand is how Betts had gaping holes to run through in the middle of the line in 2006. Every time I see Portis run up the gut, it looks like 9 defenders are stacked right behind the DTs.
