Smoot has a hip pointer and this is most likely why he was limited in the game. He is probable for this week.

-also- Teams who face a good run game stack 8 and even 9 in the box daring them to throw. Adversely, I think we were playing a lot of nickle and dime, daring Arizona to run.

The 3 safety package is called "cobra" and from what I understand was installed simply to get Horton (a young, versitile playmaker) on the field.

I don't believe our defense is fundamentally flawed as you suggest. We gave up a lot of rush yards against the Cards, but it was a necessary evil. I think Blache, who has been our D-coordinator, will drastically change up his game plan from week to week based on who we're playing.

All that in consideration, theres always room for improvement.
