The Giants are also a significantly better team in the back seven coverage wise than the Eagles are. I'm sure that played a part in this analysis, but it's tough to account for that.

So the Eagles' signing of Asante Samuel makes a lot of sense and tells me that they correctly identified their defensive weakness, but the results of having Samuel haven't helped the Eagles very much thus far.
