Thank you for a legacy that's almost reached 30 years. Certainly you didn’t coach all these years, but your presence was always with us. And though your J always stood for Jesus, MY J stood for WWJD – What Would Joe Do, especially during those long years after your first departure.

And so putting up 4 Bowls and 3 Trophies, raised our fandom, and expectations, which brought forth new generations of Redskin Fans (even the ones who booed you after last year’s Buffalo game). Coach, you accomplished this with honor, dignity, foresight, ownership, and a generosity that some say is “a forgotten lesson from a forgotten time.” We are Redskin fans because of it.
