What is it that we as fans are not seeing that solid NFL coaches (Gibbs, Saunders, Zorn) all see in Hixon to keep him at the possible expense of the team?
Maybe he's simply not the problem?

Or are the fans watching from the stands and TV 3 hours on Sundays just so much more aware of what's going on 24/7 behind the scenes at Redskins Park?

I think everyone including Ray Charles can see the job isn't getting done. It doesn't matter where you get your perspective... if you look at the product on the field we haven't had good wideout production (with the exception of moss) in a long time.

If 3 coaches now have kept him employed with the team, I'm just tossing out the wacky idea that maybe he's not the main problem. Crazy, I know.

And I was simply asking the question: what is it that he does so well that impressed them?

Gun charge aside I keep getting the feeling that should he stay relatively healthy he'll end up having a similar career to Plaxico Burress. In other words a few really good 1,000+ yard seasons combined with a few 500+ yard seasons. Of course I keep on wishing that the Larry Fitzgerald comparisons from his nfl.com draft profile come to fruition.

Stan....hey, way to divert the attention. .........just kidding.

You guys are right you can't teach how to hold on to the ball...but you can teach how to catch it. He can teach how to get seperation from a CB which our WR can't seem to figure out. He can teach route running meaning little tricks to shake or throw off the CB in order to get (again) seperation in order to be able to catch the ball. The only pass I have seen all year where a WR was free and clear in the open was Thomas's catch that got called back cause of a penalty.
I also will say ARE was a half decent WR in Pitt and can't catch a cold here. He keeps dropping balls. I might give you tha fact that ARE should not be running the #2 WR routes but should be running the #3 WR routes so yes he may be having a more difficult time cause the team is not utilizing him as Pitt did. but we keep hearing how Kelly and Thomas are having mental break downs or are not getting it. I blame the coach for that. It's his job to make sure the receivers get it.
