Re: FYI for 2009.. Draft & Schedule
Trade it along with Betts and Randle El, stock up on picks spend them on both lines and a backup RB...or pick at 14, maybe get a keeper down the line in the draft and take your chances.

Re: FYI for 2009.. Draft & Schedule
Randle El isn't terribly productive, has a high cap figure, and will be 30 years old by the time next season starts. If you are a GM for another team, what kind of draft pick would you trade for him? Ladell Betts will also be 30 years old by the time next season starts and good running backs can be found late in the draft. So, I would be stunned if we managed to get anything better than a 5th round pick for either player and we'd be lucky to get that much.

I definitely think The skins should still make that move, put the onus on thomas, kelly, or davis to show up next season. i hope they have the maturity to realize they were complete busts this season and they need to really pick up the pace next season. Definitely, definitely trade the first rounder to get more picks because the Skins do not draft well (Sean taylor is the only one who comes to mind who was a stud - Rogers is still a work in progress) in the first round. Pick up o linemen and d linemen because griffin is getting old, gholston is not a suitable backup, jansen is finished, samuels is showing his age. I think the trench units will be in serious trouble next season if they are not shored up. |
