Seeing that we swept the Eagles and beat the Cards it's hard to buy that point.

That being said, as we're currently built we're closer to 4-12 than 12-4. I hope the FO realizes this and makes the necessary adjustments.

Sadly, I'm not seeing a sense of urgency from the team. Our entire front office should be in WTF mode (as in like WTF? we blew a 6-2 start and we need to figure out what da hell is wrong with this team).

I've come to the conclusion that the 6-2 start was a fraud. This team was getting every bounce and still barely winning games. I hope the FO takes a harder look at:

1. Our penchant to play down to the competition (St. Louis, Cincinnati, etc.).
2. Our inability to dominate at home.
3. Most importantly, our glaring inferiority against upper echelon teams (Pittsburgh, NY Giants, Baltimore, etc.). These losses were a true measuring stick of how far the team is from competing and making a deep playoff run.

If the FO fools itself into believing that we're one player from being a strong contender, then we are doomed to continued mediocrity.

I'm sure I'm going to catch crap from people, but I think our last playoff appearance was a bit of a fraud too. We've had the same offensive problems for the past three years and the team has done very little about it or be overly concerned about it.
