They had a very good draft in 2008, DT Glenn Dorsey, OL Brandon Albert and CB Brandon Flowers are solid picks.
Unlike the Redskins the Chiefs kept all of their 2009 draft picks.
Now I see why Pioli picked the Chiefs. This guy is smart.

Big question: will he keep Herm Edwards?
There are alot of good coaches out there right now that might be tempted to listen to an offer from Pioli, Bill Cowher & Mike Shanahan to name a few.
The rumor is that he'll probably let Edwards go. Word was if he was hired in Cleveland he really wanted Kirk Ferentz, but the Browns owner didn't want that. So now he might bring Ferentz to KC. Or maybe Spags?

As for the draft picks, nice job by the Chiefs last year. Let's see if they can repeat it

Why would you care what happens to Iowa?

Funny thing is I'm pretty sure that in any other year were Vinny isn't our GM/Director or whatever he is then we'd see the Redskins as a major contender for Pioli's services. However as has been mentioned before, with the Chiefs, he has:

1. A large compliment (or so I believe) of high draft picks.
2. $30 million of cap space to play around with
3. Intriguing Free Agents along the lines
4. A chance to assemble a coaching staff
5. A chance to work for a storied franchise
6. And of course ridiculous compensation.

If he had come to the Redskins he would have had to deal with

1. 4 draft picks
2. A lot less then $30 million of cap space
3. Limited money to sign free agents
4. A coach that would be difficult to justify firing after going 8-8 in his first year.
5. A storied franchise, ok well thats good..
6. Of course he would get top dollar, maybe even more then the Chiefs were willing to pay.

So do you have any inside ju-ju that after the next season Vinny could see the road if he doesn't produce?

Word around the grape vine, aka Jay Glazer, is that Snyder has given Cerrato and Zorn two years to prove themselves. Year one is already over so if Glazer is right and the Redskins don't at least go above .500 next year then it's very possible both Zorn and Cerrato could be sent packing.

I have been debating buying season tickets for the past few years. Have you ever been to a game there. Usually awesome tailgating, great game, and bars after.

Some serious rumors flying that Todd Haley could land in KC as the HC after the Super Bowl. This link is particularly entertaining, as it points out how Jerry Jones let him walk:
