That is not what I had in mind, dude, not at all. I wonder whether this is an indicator the FO has already decided it won't replace anyone on the o-line this offseason. To me it sounds that way but maybe i'm being pessimistic. Anyway, if we literally have the exact same personnel in the trenches I'm gonna 1) vow to not visit this board through the season as to not lose my posting privilege by cussing out the ownership every 90 seconds 2) come to the harsh realization we'll be mediocre again and really, really accept it this time... maybe just watch the games and look for little things like "Did Campbell take more 3 step drops than last year" or "Can I tell how late Smoot partied last night based on that last play?"
Yeah I hear you. Actually I have a confession to make. I Dirtbag have been flirting with the idea of becoming a Ravens fan. Fans talk all the time about sticking it to management and boycotting the team until something is done about the circus that is the Washington Redskins but they never have the heart to. I remember back in 2001 or 2002 when the Skins were like 0-5 1-5 under Marty how I started watching Ravens games the first one being the first match between the Titans and the Ravens. From that point on as more Ravens games started making their way to Atlanta I found myself becoming a fan to the point where I was rooting for the team in the Super Bowl with the same entuhsiasm that I rooted for the Skins.

Yeah call me what you will but only a fool would stay put in such an abusive relationship that is loyalty to these Washington Redskins. Now I'm not defecting yet but I have to say if nothing is done about the lines, and at the same time we get Vinny peddling his holy draft board then it's going to be very tempting to stand up and leave. Lifes to short to wait for Dan Snyder to learn how to run a team.

Wow. Just wow. For me the last straw would have to come in not addressing the lines and drafting/signing another WR. For instance some are already suggesting Moss will be shown the door. If we used the pick and cap space to just bring in a high-priced WR w/o upgrading the line...

If you defect, the name Dirtbag will truly fit you. Just kidding. Seriously though dude, it's just the frustration talking. You wouldn't even have posted this message if the Redskins could have put away the Rams and Bengals like they should have. Don't jump off the wagon because unlike Brett Favre, you may not be allowed back. Stay with the Burgundy and Gold, better days lie ahead! Part of being a fan is sticking with your team through thick and thin. Granted it's been thin for a long time but that's what makes winning feel so good. Now I want you to go say three "Hail to the Redskins" before your next confession, I mean post. The Warpath will cure what ails ya!

HAIL!!

Back in the day I was a Cleveland Browns fan (Kosar, Slaughter, Byner, Mack, Minnifield, Dixon, etc) but I never could get myself to root for the Ravens (even though they moved much much closer to me), love the stadium though. But I respect what Ozzie Newsome has accomplished. Though it is is interesting that he has the same exact "best player available" draft strategy that we blast here. Nowadays, my second favorite team is probably the Titans. Been that way for 12 years. Long story of how they became my second favorite team.

But the distance between my first and second favorite team is bigger than the holes Timmy Smith got in the Super Bowl.

But anyway, what are you going to do if you go to another team and then they tank? Come running back to the Redskins?

Nope at that point switching teams will be easy since I'd already sold my soul. So if the Ravens tanked I'd take the Lebron James approach to rooting for teams. My new favorite Baseball team the Yankees, favorite Basketball team, the Cav's, favorite NFL team New England, favorite soccer team Man U, favorite international soccer team Brazil, favorite golfer Tiger Woods, and so on and so on. Then when people say, "dude you're such a frontrunner" I'd reply with something along the lines of "no, I'm just a winner."

Lol, obviously you weren't with me during last years draft. Not only did I come down with a horrible cold but every pick practically made me cringe.

Devin Thomas - Alright, would rather have Jordy but it makes sense
Fred Davis - WTF, a TE? Crap Malcolm Kelly's still on the board don't tell me they're actually going to
Malcolm Kelly - They actually...went out...and...did it?!??! You're f*ing kidding me *cries self to sleep*
Chad Rhinehart - Grrrrrrr, Bugel better have seen something in him, especially with guys like McGlynn and Schuenning on the board
Justin Tryon - Who?
Durant Brooks - A punter?????
Colt Brennan - Not the worst pick ever but Henderson and Justice are still on the board?
Kareem Moore - No one was going to draft this guy get Henderson!
Rob Jackson - Who the hell is this guy? Draft Henderson
Chris Horton - Oh this guy is going to be amazing. Yep he's probably going to get a handful of tackles and maybe around 3 interceptions.

You do know that the bandwagon team in the NFL is the Cowpukes, right? LOL.

Screw that I'm a front runner baby. Can't be rooting for no cowpokes. They haven't won a playoff game since I hit puberty.

So your saying if our draft is poor your going or are you going to wait until week 8 of the season and pick the team with the best record? If you do switch and the Skins and Ravens played in the SB your sticking with the Ravens.

Wow, I am so glad to see someone else stating what I have also been thinking. I attended the NFC Championship game at RFK back in 1991 - I remember screaming at the top of my lungs and the stadium was so loud that I could not even hear myself. We were literally shaking the foundations. Anyone who knows me knows that I'm a diehard Skins fan, and I used to be obnoxiously so -- I went to college in Texas, my college roommate was from Denver when we whipped their asses in 1987 (yes, a group of them burned their jerseys on a bet I made to them). I mean, I loved the Skins, absolutely loved them. Fast forward to today ... I almost can't take it anymore. From moving out of RFK to overpaying for washed up free agents, to Sean Taylor being murdered (the only player I loved on the team since Darrel Green retired), to today with the most mediocre crew I can remember ... I think to myself, maybe I need a break. I never thought I'd think that, but I guess I never thought we'd have an owner so utterly incompetent. I live in Denver now, and with the new coach, I have been debating switching to Denver until Snyder is gone. It is kind of sad to have such thoughts. Wow, that felt good to vent.

None of us are happy lately, But it's better than winning 2-4 games a year that was'nt that long ago. You can't just pick and chose why don't you become a cards or steeler fan. If your going go good riddance. But we're about good and bad thick and thin. Go Skins!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
