Re: If You Changed Your Allegiance...

I think is funny that people are willing to not to put on a Cowboys jersey, but quick to jump ship and "leave" the Redskins to root for another team.

Ok what I don't get is the below .500 stipulation... Niners (SF is one of my favorite cities)

... I will never pledge allegiance to another team. NEVER. Even if Snyder owns the team my whole life and does no better than he's done so far. HTTR.

I wouldn't. I won't. If I could...it would have already happened.

Re: If You Changed Your Allegiance...

If I changed my allegiance, it would be from Pro Football to strictly college. Honestly, if the Skins keep stinking it up and the league doesn't improve the refs, I might just bolt. This league is rigged....me thinks.

Raiders.

Because if you root for anyone else in their stadium... You get stabbed. That's threatening enough for me to jump on board.

Re: If You Changed Your Allegiance...

Ain't going to happen. The Skins could go 0-16 for the next 10 years and they would still be my team.

If I had to have a second team from that lot it would be the Chiefs.

I'll trade you SF for San Diego. I love SF, but San Diego.... C'mon perfect weather, beautiful beaches, next door to Baja, etc.

Below .500 so everyone isn't just saying "Oh well, the Patriots" or "The Steelers" etc. Just wanted people to think about some teams that are doing poorly (worse than the Skins) these past two seasons that they would embrace because they like the team, they think the team has a strong future.

Re: If You Changed Your Allegiance...

Of these teams I'd take the 49ers. It's a matter of nostalgia, they were dominant in the 80s when I was a kid. I guess because of that the NFL just feels right to me when the 49ers are doing well, it just feels like the world makes sense.

Re: If You Changed Your Allegiance...

I'd go Raiders, but the caveat is Al Davis can't be the owner. If not, I'll go with the Chiefs

Re: If You Changed Your Allegiance...

I'll never change my allegiance. I'm Burgundy and Gold for Life! However, in the spirit of this thread, if I ever lost my mind and stopped cheering for the Skins it would be because I stopped watching football altogether. Seriously what would be the point in going on as a football fan if I didn't cheer for the Skins? I cannot and will not offer an answer because that suggests it's a realistic thought for me.

Now I'm going to weep softly in the corner, with beer in hand, for each of you who actually answered this question.

HAIL TO THE REDSKINS AND TO HELL WITH THE OTHER 31!!

Re: If You Changed Your Allegiance...

I get that it's the off season and that we have to jump start discussions but lately I'm disturbed by the line of questions around here. Whose jersey would you wear, who would you root for? What's next? If your penis had to be cutoff how would you dispose of it? If you had to be molested as a child who would prefer to be molested by?

I smoke Burgundy and Gold and I go on spiritual quests with Redskins.
