If we could trade down and still get Mack that would be great, but I would still take him at 13. All year long there has been constant bashing about how bad Rabach has been. How our line would be so much better without him as the center. I think Mack would make a significant difference on our line and just as Manning hates to be without Saturday, Jason could see what it's like to have a center he can count on, game in and game out. It would be to Jasons benefit and the team as a whole, to have a player of this caliber anchoring the line for the next decade or more. He can handle the big tackles and is very smart. I doubt we'll get him, but this is the kind of guy I want on our team.

Not only that, but if we could get Portis going up the middle again, that could allow us to hit a defense quickly and split the safeties before anything could happen.

I would rather go for Jason Brown in free agency though, and spend a high draft choice on a tackle. Brown is still very young, and in a weak economic climate with the Ravens virtually unable to put in a competitive deal, and with Matt Birk and Jeff Saturday both with expiring contracts ahead of him, getting Brown in to a Rabach-type cheap deal will not be difficult.
